Polyurethane

Air dry epoxy coatings for metal are self-priming, corrosion resistant coatings that are recommended for use where a high performance, chemically resistant coating is desired. These coatings offer single coat corrosion protection at 4-6 mils thickness, as well as very good abrasion resistance. It may also be used as a 2 or 3 coat system for use in industrial environments including offshore oil and gas.

Plastisol Coatings

Performance Polymer and Coatings can formulate plastisol, allowing us to make exactly what our customers need for their jobs.

Polyvinyl Plastisol is made from polyvinyl chloride and are also known as Vinyl Coatings.  With PVC as the basic raw material, which when mixed with allying additives and refined  through multiple processes provide a  glossy surface finish. The  coating has a reasonable wear and heat resistance , adequate  tensile strength along with outstanding insulation and di-electric properties. It is environmentally safe and does not crack or shrink when exposed to hot or cold climatic conditions.Plastisol usage is widespread across various industries. Its coating  thickness ranges from 0.1mm to 15mm.

Key Properties of Plastisol in Coated Substrates:

  • High chemical resistance permits use in all -Proprietary plating cycles without deterioration.
  • High dielectric strength.
    Maximum toughness and abrasion resistance.
High material stability and adhesion for ease of application.
Maximum resilience and flexibility. high gloss provides optimum drainage.

Useful Application of Plastisol in Industry

  1. Tool handles for hardware like wrenches, pliers, scissors, wire cutters and assorted gardening tools are all coated with Plastisol to provide grip and protection.
  2. A major industrial application of Plastisol is for bus bars for Electric vehicles or in electric panels and switch gears.
  3. Other uses include lining conveyors or for protection of finished parts in baskets used in production lines of precision machined components; where even a minor abrasion to machined parts through sliding and rubbing could prove fatal on their specified
  4. Coating racks, baskets, hooks and other materials as in Handling and Plating equipment when resilience is required to protect finished parts; Giving plating racks highly efficient electrical insulation property.
  5. Providing a corrosion-resistant coating for duct-work, tanks, pipes and other surfaces.
Plastisol provides excellent abrasion and corrosion resistance and is flame retardant. Additionally, tools and fasteners, which are meant to be handled, provide a much better user experience when they’re coated with a substance like plastisol that offers better grip and a softer feel.
